Project Details
The Merrifield Masterplan is a strategic study for a proposed development located in Melbourne’s northwest.
The study involved a review of previous consultancy reports and review of complex hydrological and sodic soil conditions. This resulted in a shift of thinking for the design of the open space leading to the concept of an activated linear park with a strong emphasis on east-west ecological and pedestrian connections.
“A series of connected, activated landscape rooms allowing breathing space for incidental and transitional connections”
The masterplan was informed by a study into the local demographics (current and emerging). A vegetation strategy was also proposed for successional planting to improve soils conditions.
