FJMT was engaged by UNE to undertake Principal Design Services for a new Agricultural Education Building and development of a ‘SMART’ farm research centre.
The project was challenged by a modest budget, nevertheless, the Design team deliver maximum value and deliver a pinnacle outcome for the students, teachers, the University and the community.
In conjunction with teaching and research spaces, the landscape design , strongly committed to ecological sustainability included an expansive greenroof, nestling the new facility into the terrain.
The facility includes a small breakout space for students on a terrace to the building’s north. The entry to the site characterised by paving on grade over undulating terrain and a small carpark and addressed tree protection zones, grading and stormwater overland flow.
